Nominees for the Billboard Awards Announced
It is award time again in Las Vegas on May 21! Be ready for another interesting evening of music when Billboard awards the best artists. The magazine announced the nominees for the 2017 Billboard Music Awards in May Monday morning (April 10). Under the top nominees is Florida Georgia Line with a nomination for Top Duo/Group, Top Country Song with "H.O.L.Y.," Top Country Artist and Top Country Collaboration with "May We All" featuring Tim McGraw.
Other nominees include Luke Bryan with a nomination for Top Country Tour and the Billboard Chart Achievement Award. For the latter one he is competing with Nicki Minaj, The Chainsmokers, The Weeknd and Twenty One Pilots.
Keith Urban is nominated for Top Country Album with "Ripcord" and Top Country Song with his hit "Blue Ain't Your Color." Proposed for Top Country Artist and Top Country Album with "Traveller" is Chris Stapleton. Kenny Chesney is nominated for Top Country Tour, Top Country Song and Top Country Collaboration, both with "Setting the World on Fire" featuring Pink. For their hit song "Better Man" Little Big Town is nominated for the Top Country Song.
The nominees of the Billboard Music Awards are based on measurements made by Billboard and its data partners, which include Nielsen Music and Next Big Sound. They measured the fan interaction with the music, including album and digital song sales, streaming, radio airplay, touring and social engagement between the time of March 18, 2016 and March 16, 2017. The show will air on ABC at 8PM ET.
