February 2, 2023

Beyoncé to End 6-Year Hiatus from Solo-Touring

You heard that right. On the morning of February 1, the beloved Pop/R&B/Soul artist utilized Instagram to make a long awaited announcement - on May 10 her 2022 album Renaissance will commence an approximately 5-month tour. Kicking things off in Stockholm, Sweden, Queen Bey will bounce around Europe and over to North America before closing in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Beyoncé’s 7th studio album debuted at Number 1 on Billboard’s 200 albums chart with 332,000 equivalent album unit sales. It has since won the AMA’s Favorite R&B Album of 2020 and is nominated for 9 Grammys, including Album of the Year. These nominations tie Beyoncé with her husband, Jay-Z, for most Grammy-nominated artist of all time.

This tour will mark the first time in 6 years that Beyoncé has conducted a solo tour; her last one being Lemonade in 2016, which grossed $256,000,000. Fans and onlookers have been eager to see how Beyoncé would top her own legacy. The Renaissance tour should provide her with the perfect opportunity to show up and show out in 2023.
