Justin Bieber Releases New Album “Justice”

On March 19, 2021 Justin Bieber released his sixth studio album, “Justice.” The album consists of Bieber’s three recent solo songs, “Holy” featuring Chance the Rapper; “Lonely” featuring Benny Blanco; and “Anyone,” along with 13 new songs. Bieber’s goal for this album was to make music that will provide comfort, songs that people can relate to and feel connected to, so that they feel less alone. He said, “In a time when there’s so much wrong with this broken planet, we all crave healing, and justice for humanity.” While he knows he can not simply solve injustice just by making music, this album is him doing his part to continue the conversation of what justice looks like.

“Justice” made Justin Bieber the first solo male to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 song chart and the Billboard 200 albums chart at the same time. The album opened at No. 1 with 154,000 sales in the United States, 157 million streams, and 30,000 copies sold as a complete package. At 27 years old, Bieber has been in the top spot eight times, making him the youngest solo artist to achieve this success. A top song on the album is “Peaches,” featuring Daniel Caesar and Giveon, which is Bieber’s fourth song to debut at No. 1 on the Hot 100.
