How are you taking charge of your music right now? My goal is to be as intentional as I can be with my music, so I love having creative freedom with the lyrics and music, collaborating with my producer on ideas for the production. The best piece of advice I received recently is, “Make music that makes you happy”. Now, no matter what emotion a song is focusing on, I check in with myself to see if the idea of releasing it is bringing me joy. So I take charge of my music by making sure the creative process is adding to my happiness. How are you charging up for your next release? I’m brainstorming ideas for the cover art and promotion, and I’m balancing that with family and social time. What is a big declaration you want to make known when it comes to your music? It’s okay to feel it all, and then let it go and grow. Love isn’t always logical, but it is one of the most beautiful things on Earth. Is there more of you as an artist that fans haven't seen yet? Yes and I’m so excited to share more with you all! What do you have lined up performance wise for your fans? I have a couple virtual performances lined up in the next month, so follow me on my socials to stay up to date on those performances! Is there something that you could take it or leave it when it comes to the music industry? The first thing that comes to mind is judgment. It’s so important to leave that at the door. When creating, you walk a fine line between pushing yourself to be the best and putting yourself down for creativity. And then there is the occasional judgment from others. The best way to deal with any judgment is through self-acceptance and creating a strong mindset, so one comment won’t make or break you. Before you get into what you'll be making next, what is something that is the deal breaker for you on whether the project gets made? Whether or not it adds to my happiness!
