Play LA Surprises Fans with New Single "Wuhan"

On August 8th, trap musician Play LA surprised his fans with the release of his newest single, “Wuhan.” The upbeat, catchy release is his most recent song following his debut single “Like That,” released in April of this year.

The opening line of “Wuhan:” “Sometimes I feel like the world is failing, demons in my head are raging,” sets the tone for the song about his thoughts on the world today, and also his struggles with mental health. The repeated hook, “going viral like it’s Wuhan,” is a clever reference to the city in China where the Coronavirus originated. The song is heavy in effects and beats and is a blend of his influences - Juice Wrld, Lil Uzi Vert, and Chief Keef - and also is unique to his artistry.

In addition to the pioneers of trap music, Play LA was also influenced by his father, a member of a band, and grew up surrounded by music. After recovering from addiction, he defines himself as “rockstar turned misfit turned rockstar,” and is making an impact on the rap industry as an inspirational story of resilience. “Wuhan” is out now and available to stream and download everywhere.
