“I just don’t want to look back in 30 years and think, man I wish I had gone after this dream harder"
David Austin's newest single, "Alone for Now," reveals that he's willing to take on the lonely life a roadie in order to pursue his dreams.
"Alone for Now" details the desire to engage in a romantic relationship, yet, the constant movement of a touring musician not allowing one. In an Instagram post about the song, David explains, “This song is about that chase and the need to figure yourself and your dreams out before letting somebody else on board.” He uses the vulnerability of this song to encourage others who may experience loneliness and burnout from pursuing ones dreams. “I just don’t want to look back in 30 years and think, ‘man I wish I had gone after this dream harder,'” says Austin.
After a two and a half year break from releasing music - David displays not only his talent as a singer/songwriter, but also the work ethic required to make it in this competitive industry.
