"Sing It Now" With Faith and Hope

"Sing It Now: Songs of Faith and Hope," which was released on Feb. 3, 2017, consists of two discs with 20 songs. The first 10 are traditional songs, while the second disc contains originals from some of Nashville's top songwriters. The singer, songwriter and actress produced the collection with Rascal Flatts member Jay DeMarcus.

For the first time in her four decade career Reba McEntire has released a gospel album. She hinted to do that for several times. And now she made it reality.

The first disc of "Sing It Now: Songs of Faith and Hope" contains old favorites such as "Jesus Loves Me" and "Oh, How I Love Jesus." A special feature about the album is, that on a few tracks family members and friends are joining her. On "I'll Fly Away" her mother and sisters provide the harmonies. For "Softly and Tenderly" Kelly Clarkson and Trisha Yearwood are lending their voices. The second disc with the title track "Back to God" features modern religious-themed songs, mostly performed in pop-country style, for which Reba McEntire is known.

The singer is one of the best female vocalists in country music and did a good job putting this collection together.
